Through morphine glossed eyes, she took her last look
Of the daughter who caused her pain
never again to see a sight
or try to help -- in vane

the now is not all it's cracked up to be

the now is nothing without a little transparency

an overlay to set atop

all the things that you forgot

or maybe never learned

your tunneled vision burns ahead

without thought of implication

one vision

one purpose

a driving force

building empires

creating wonder, but without sight

of what else could be

aside of the intended

leaves the world at mercy

yet sad that it will end

Truth commodity: the monopoly

Truth is not that difficult to find -
but tough it is to know
when puppet masters pull the string of doubt
Unaware the idea of sacrifice is farce --
confusion is chosen by many

There are those who speak truth without knowing what they have--
these are the easiest for the money masters
point a finger--question the mind
the crowd will sleep again --relieved

When truth is told by one who knows --
but not enough to hide it --
Hope arrives --
possibilities materialize -- into life affirming solution

The winds of change reach the greedy ear
The teller dies and becomes legend --
Progress is toppled -- bitterness restored
hope is eaten--and the truth is forgotten

Again they are angry -- restless --
free to hate
The greedy empire rests in safety --
fat from its feast on stolen truth

Truth needs to be whispered--
allowed to root deep as the oak --
to take over like a slow growing moss

By the time the growth is realized --
it will be too large -- too late to prune--
and hide away once more
